On June 21, the Huawei Developer Conference (HDC 2024), focusing on the latest technologies like HarmonyOS NEXT and the Pangu Large Model, grandly opened in Songshan Lake, Dongguan. During the keynote summit on the first day of the conference, Yu Chengdong, Huawei's Executive Director, Chairman of Device BG, and Chairman of Intelligent Automotive Solutions BU, revealed that the number of devices in the HarmonyOS ecosystem has surpassed 900 million, attracting over 2.54 million developers. He also announced that the pure HarmonyOS Beta upgrade is now open for developers and pioneer users, marking a milestone for the HarmonyOS ecosystem, which will officially go commercial in the fourth quarter. Zhang Ping'an, Huawei's Executive Director and CEO of Huawei Cloud, announced the official release of Pangu Large Model 5.0, which has been upgraded in all series, multi-modalities, and strong thinking capabilities.

At the Huawei OpenHarmony Industry Ecosystem booth and the OpenAtom Foundation OpenHarmony co-construction booth, SwanLink and Huawei showcased multiple innovative OpenHarmony products and solutions for fields such as mining, education, and energy (electricity), including intelligent service all-in-one machines, lane toll boxes, OpenHarmony education and training kits, and competition equipment, smart unhindered access solutions, and a unified smart coal mine equipment app, some of which were debuted in the industry for the first time.
